Colin A. Ross, M.D.
Dr. Ross is an internationally renowned clinician, researcher, author and lecturer in the field of dissociation
and trauma-related disorders. He is the founder and President of the Colin A. Ross Institute for Psychological Trauma.
The Ross Institute provides treatment for patients with dissociative identity disorder (multiple personality
disorder) and related trauma disorders at Timberlawn Mental Health System of Dallas.
Dr. Ross' book, Dissociative Identity Disorder. Diagnosis, Clinical Features and Treatment of Multiple
Personality. Second Edition was published in October, 1997. The first edition of this book appeared in 1989 and is regarded as one of the most comprehensive and important accounts of this subject
ever published.
In addition, Dr. Ross has authored over 170 books, professional papers and book chapters. He has reviewed for numerous
professional journals and grant agencies and is a Past President of the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation. He is currently working on collections of essays, short stories, screen plays and photographs.
